I felt my healing was worth updating. Since that Sunday, my back quickly improved so that in a few days the pain completely went away. I feel better now than I have in months. An MRI showed that I have 2 small herniated discs. The Doc says that with proper physical therapy and care I should be able to avoid any future problems.
Praise God! I feel completely healed and I am trusting Him to help me avoid any future injuries. But, I have even better news. God is continuing to do things in our church for others as well. My healing has boosted the faith of others and now others are being healed also. This deserves a triple "PRAISE THE LORD! PRAISE THE LORD! PRAISE THE LORD!" It is one thing to be healed yourself, but for God to use it to glorify Himself and help others, that's beyond wonderful and its amazing. Therefore, it was worth the pain I suffered.
Please, let us not forget that we believe in the God of the supernatural. As Pentecostals we still believe that God is in the healing and miracle working business. He does that in order that He might redeem mankind and cause His will to be done on earth, even as it is in heaven. God can and does follow up with signs and wonders the witnessing lives and ministry of those who believe. This kind of stuff should be happening more often! As representatives of Jesus Christ, we have a responsibility to re-present Him the same way He presented Himself when He walked the earth. Jesus did what He saw His heavenly Father doing, and through the same power of the Holy Spirit that is available to us, He backed up what He said with signs and wonders. Marketing and Church growth principles are great so long as they don't take the place of powerful, Holy Spirited anointed ministry. Furthermore, I am wondering if we would really even need marketing and church growth principles if we had the kind of ministry going on that Jesus said we could have? It's time that we find out the answer to that question and prove Jesus' promises to be true and for us today.
WOW! Now if I can only back that last paragraph put by following the Lord and be in places where God can use me frequently. May we all be inspired and challenged. AMEN!
Seek Him! P Tim
